Regional Match #1 vs. CASL 0-2
by admin on Jun.17, 2011, under Match recap
Temperature: 80 degrees, Overcast
Pitch Condition: Soft/Good
Opposition: CASL
Our squad played really tough, but were faced with a multitude of challenges…
CASL was a very technical side, with superb passing skills, & many offensive options. Defensively, they were very strong, confident, & poised with the ball, making very few mistakes, if any… They worked out of pressure quickly, playing very few through/long balls. Instead, chose to control possession all the way down the pitch. Play off of the ball was very impressive. Excellent team.
Fire had a few chances @ goal, but just weren’t able to put one in. Had to play heavier defensively, but were able to use quick, strong, counter attacks for chances on goal. Good result against a very technical side.
More to come…

THIS JUST IN FROM FOOBOWHL HEADQUAHTAS………….
Under the leadership of Sir Stephen McAnespie (Macca), The LA Fire squad have positioned themselves in their first ever go @ a Regional Championship. It will be a daunting task for them to climb out of bracket play, but the young squad still have something to prove to themselves, their fans, coaches, & nay sayers… Recently, we had a chance to speak w/ the squad’s skippa, Christopher Higginson, & he had this to say: “This will be a great experience for us, no matter what the outcome. Winning would be an added bonus, but were going to be focused, & play to win.”
Its nawt outta da ordinry that these no name teams show up w/ supreme determination & a strong mindset to get da jowb done…
When speaking wiff da squad’s right fuww back, Tanner (thought process) Riche, da young foohbowhla seemed ovajoyed & shared this wiff us:
“It’s a GLOOOORIOUS DAY for Fiya Foohbowhl…. We have managed to oust boff of ouwa crosstown rivals in da semi finals, then we were able to prove ourselves again, in the finals. There was a bit of brilliance out theah. Once you puh in da work, results will follow. No two ways about it, mate”.
More to follow from Murfreesboro.
Until then, so long…………….
